Casting News – Zac Efron to Star in and Produce “The Associate”

The Hollywood Reporter shared that actor Zac Efron will be starring and producing an adaptation of John Grisham’s The Associate.

Efron will be playing a Yale Law School grad who ends up being blackmailed by a group of criminals. These criminals force him to take a job at one of the world’s largest law firms so he can spy on powerful defence contractors.

The actor will also be producing under his production company, Ninja’s Runnin Wild, along with Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher, who will be representing Red Wagon Entertainment. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the next step for the producers is to find a screenwriter and then take it out to studios.
