Tom Hardy at work on the Musical “Harold’s Harem”

Tom Hardy, the Inception, Dark Knight Rises, and Lawless star, is planning to star in the musical Harold’s Harem. The show was created by screenwriter Brett C. Leonard and Hardy describes it as a “crazy piece of work.” Hardy is set to play the lead character Harold. Currently, information on when and where the show will be produced has not been publicized.

In an interview, Hardy states: “It would be a serious piece and more in the vein of the Civil Rights breakthrough musical Caroline or Change.” Caroline or Change played in Broadway’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre in 2004 and won six Tony Award nominations before the show was moved to London’s National Theatre.
