Exclusive New Images and “Entertainment Weekly” Cover for “Iron Man 3”

Entertainment Weekly recently released five (5) exclusive images from the next Marvel film, Iron Man 3. Some these exclusive images give fans a look at Tony Stark in action and there is a behind-the-scenes photo. The cover features Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow as their characters Tony Stark and Pepper Pots.

In this film, we get to see Pepper Pots wear the iconic iron suit, which works with her character arc presented in the original comic books. Pepper Pots ends up growing from a damsel in need of Stark’s protection to a hero, known as Rescue, that fights along his side. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Paltrow had this to say about her character’s journey: “It’s sort of the comic-book version of a Cinderella story. She starts timid and sort of cleaning up after Tony, and then she evolves into full strength and a superhero.”

Iron Man 3 also stars Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Jon Favreau, Sir Ben Kingsley, Jmaes Badge Dale, and Paul Bettany and hits theaters May 3 (tomorrow)!

What do you think of these new stills and the cover? Will you be going to see Iron Man 3 in theaters? Who is your favorite Iron Man character?

Movie Exclusive – First Look at Ben Kingsley in “Ender’s Game”

Entertainment Weekly has shared the first official photo of Oscar-winning actor Sir Ben Kingsley in the film adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s novel, Ender’s Game. Gavin Hood adapted the novel into a screenplay and directed the film that is being distributed by Summit Entertainment.

This new still gives fans a look at Kingsley as his mysterious character, Mazer Rackham. Kingsley’s character is of Maori decent and so his face is tattooed with intricate Maori designs.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kingsley talked about the tattoo and getting to consult with a Maori tribal expert: “Every gesture in the tattoo carries family history, family struggles – it’s your past. I was so enthralled. He’s in quite a contained, stylized uniform but then this wonderful face tells his warrior history.”

Plus, the actor talked about the script and his character: “In the script, which I think is beautifully written, what come across is the authority and mystery. There’s quite a lot said about him in the story  before you see him — by the recruits and by his fellow officers — and that’s useful as far as preparations.”

Finally, fans will be interested to know that the first trailer for the film will be released on May 7th! Ender’s Game also stars Harrison Ford, Viola Davis, Andrea Powell, Abigail Breslin, Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld,  and many more talented actors. Take a look at the full cast list here.

First Official Look at “Ender’s Game”

Fans of Orson Scott Card’s 1985 novel, Ender’s Game, will be very excited to know that the first official stills for the Gavin Hood-directed film adaptation were recently released.

Ender’s Game stars Harrison Ford, Sir Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, Andrea Powell, Abigail Breslin, Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld,  and many more. Take a look at the full cast list here.

According to Entertainment Weekly, it has been difficult for the film industry to adapt the novel into a film due to its complex themes. Plus, the fact that it follows children and young adults who are “military recruits fighting each other in a futuristic, space-set Battle School” doesn’t make it any easier. However, I think that Hunger Games has paved the way for this film adaptation as these types of stories have become more acceptable in modern, mainstream pop culture.

Have a look at the new stills below and let me know what you think in the comments below! Ender’s Game is currently set to hit theaters November 1, 2013.
