“Glee” – New Season Four Scoop Revealed at Comic-Con

For all of us “Gleeks” out there, we already know that in season four Rachel (Lea Michele) is going to begin her journey in New York, Kurt (Chris Colfer) will possibly be joining Rachel in New York, and  will be seeing Finn (Cory Monteith) in the U.S. Army. However, cast members Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Darren Criss (Blaine), Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Naya Rivera (Santana), and executive producers Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, Dante Diloreto revealed some new information while on the Glee Comic-Con panel in San Diego.

Here is what was talked about on the Glee panel according to an article from Entertainment Weekly:

“The next Britney Spears tribute will be the second episode of the season and feature Heather Morris heavily. The episode will also explore Rachel’s transition to New York. Fresh off her breakup with Finn, Ms. Berry will find herself as a big fish in a really, really big pond in New York City. Kate Hudson will play her negative-reinforcement-loving dance teacher.

The series regulars in season 3 will be back “in some capacity” for season 4, says Falchuk. Not every episode, though — the cast is too big to accommodate everyone on each episode. Chord Overstreet — recurring in season 3 — isn’t locked in to return as a season 4 series regular… yet. Producers are hopeful that a deal will come through, though. They feel the same way about Sam and Alex, contestants of The Glee Project, neither of whom are officially signed on for the new season.

Glee favorites will find themselves all over the place. Santana is cheerleading at the University of Louisville, Finn is prepping to join the army (which led the crowd to plead for Monteith not to shave his head), and Kurt is still in Lima, stuck in a bit of a rut. Will and Emma aren’t married yet, but they are living together, happily engaged, and “doing dirty things.”

We’ll be meeting Puck’s little brother this season, and if producer Ian Brennan has his way, Artie’s parents as well. While they haven’t been written into the show yet, he says he’s always dreamed of Artie’s mother being an obsessive hoarder. Kevin McHale says that if the character ever makes the show, he’d love to see Katey Sagal play his mom and Harry Connick Jr. play his dad.”

What do you think of these new ideas? Are you looking forward to season four? Do you think the show will become too chaotic following all of these different characters? Let me know in the comments below!

“Glee” – Some Season Four Secrets

In recent interviews with TV Guide Magazine, Glee stars Lea Michele, Corey Monteith, and Chris Colfer shared some details about what season four is going to look like for their characters.

Here is the article written by TV Guide‘s William Keck:

“Lea Michele and Cory Monteith are getting in top shape this summer to tackle the physically demanding stories awaiting them this fall on Glee. I caught up with the real-life couple at the 11th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball benefiting L.A.’s homeless and cosponsored by Grey Goose Vodka.

When Glee returns to Fox on Sept. 13, Kate Hudson will have joined the cast as a hard-ass New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts dance instructor, pitting her against new student Rachel (Michele). “Dance is not Rachel’s strong point, but as a freshman it’s a requirement class she has to take,” Michele says. “It will put Rachel in a very vulnerable place, stuck with a teacher who doesn’t make it easy for her.”

When Michele admits that dancing “is definitely not my strong point, either,” Monteith jokingly pipes in that his girl will be spending her summer “enrolled in tap classes on Wednesdays and hip-hop on Thursdays.”

As for Monteith’s Finn, it sounds as though he’s headed to Army boot camp! “Finn would have to be in very good shape and get incredibly fit, meaning I would have to be incredibly fit,” says the actor. “I’m doing extra stuff this summer — CrossFit and fewer Snickers bars.”

And Kurt (Chris Colfer)? Expect him to find his way to New York City — but not as a student at NYADA, which will hold firm on its rejection. Instead, “he will find himself in an establishment where Sarah Jessica Parker is his manager of sorts, but not in a performance sense,” Colfer told me at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards.

Michele has heard that Parker’s character may be giving Rachel a makeover, which suggests a New York fashion-world story line for Kurt. Says Colfer: “Lea’s a hot girl, [but] Rachel could lose the baby-doll dresses.'”
