Marvel and Edgar Wright Part Ways on “Ant-Man”

Edgar Wright has stepped down as director of the film, citing “creative differences” with Marvel as the reason for his departure, and despite being attached to the project since 2006.

Marvel’s statement says that the split was amicable, and will not have an impact on the expected July 17, 2015 release, and that “a new director will be announced shortly.”

Ant-Man will star Paul Rudd in the title role, along with Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michael Pena, and Corey Stole.

Who do you think Marvel should appoint as the new director? Are you sad to see Wright go?
