The CW to hold “Carrie Diaries” until midseason

Those of you who are fans of “Sex in the City” and are anticipating the prequel series “The Carrie Diaries” – the anticipation is going to have to last a little bit longer. The CW network released their fall schedule on Thursday, May 17, 2012, and it revealed that ‘The Carrie Diaries” was placed midseason and is going to start January 2013.

In the original series, Carrie Bradshaw is played by Sarah Jessica Parker. However, AnnaSophia Robb has been cast to play a young Carrie. This series is going to be following Carrie (Sophia Robb) during her senior year of high school in the early 1980s where she asks her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while trying to figure out the worlds of both high school and Manhattan.

What do you think about AnnaSophia Robb being cast as a young version of Sarah Jessica Parker? Would you be interested in watching the series even if you didn’t watch the “Sex and the City” show or movies?
