Movie Exclusive – First Official Poster Revealed for the “Veronica Mars” Film

Fans of the television show Veronica Mars played a huge role in supporting a movie based on the show. Last year, director Rob Thomas and star Kristen Bell launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to produce a film that would bring the beloved character to the silver screen.

This campaign proved to be wildly successful and they have been busy with various aspects of production on the film ever since. Everything has moved quite quickly as filming has wrapped, it was named the Breakthrough: Film at the 2014 CES convention, it has a premiere lined up at the SXSW Festival, and a trailer was recently released:

Yahoo! Movies also exclusively released a new poster for the film featuring Bell and her co-stars as their iconic characters from the show. Actors Chris Lowell, Jason Dohring, Ryan Hansen, Krysten Ritter, Percy Daggs III, Tina Majorino, Francis Capra, Ken Marino, and Enrico Colantoni are all returning to their original characters from the show. Actress Andrea Estella will be replacing Leighton Meester as Carrie Bishop. Plus, James Franco and Justin Long are rumored to have cameo appearances.

In the movie, Veronica is about to graduate from law school when she finds herself being called back into the world of private investigating. Her ex-boyfriend Logan (Dohring) is being accused of murder and she takes it upon herself to find out why. Veronica Mars is set to hit theaters on March 14, 2014.
