Exclusive Photos from the “Silver Linings Playbook”

New stills have been released from the David O. Russell-directed film, Silver Linings Playbook. Russell adapted Matthew Quick’s 2008 novel of the same title into a screenplay and film. This movie has a very strong and talented cast behind it, including Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Julia Stiles, Jacki Weaver, Chris Tucker, John Ortiz, and Shea Whigham.

As I mentioned in a previous post, Silver Linings Playbook  follows Pat Solatano (Cooper), a teacher who has had a bad string of luck and ended up losing everything – his house, his job, and his wife. After spending time in a state institution on a plea bargain, he ends up living with his parents (De Niro and Weaver.) Pat wants to rebuild his life,  stay positive, and try to reunite with his wife, even with the circumstances of their separation. Pat’s parents are concerned about him and want to make sure that he can get back of his feet and begin to function normally again. However, Pat meets a mysterious girl with problems of her own named Tiffany (Lawrence) and things start to get complicated. Tiffany offers to help Pat reconnect with his wife, but only if he’ll do something important for her in return. An unexpected bond begins to form between them and both of their lives change for the better. This movie is set to hit the theaters November 21, 2012.

Lawrence and Cooper are also going to be appearing together in the 1929-set Serena, which is set to be released sometime in 2013.

Flashback Friday – “10 Things I Hate About You”

This week we are going to look at photos from the Gil Junger-directed film 1o Things I Hate About You. This film came out in 1999 and is based off of William Shakespeare’s play Taming of The Shrew. The cast of this film included Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles, Joseph-Gordon Levitt, Larisa Oleynik, David Krumholtz, Susan May Pratt, Andrew Keegan, Gabrielle Union, Larry Miller, and Allison Janney.

An interesting fact about this film is it was all shot in various locations in Seattle and Tacoma, Washington. Also, there are some lines in the film that are directly from Shakespeare’s Taming of The Shrew and his Sonnet 56. Something eles that is interesting is Heath Ledger beat out Josh Hartnett and Ashton Kutcher for his role of Patrick Verona in this film.

For those of you that are fans of this film will be excited to know that Gil Junger is currently developing  a film titled 10 Things I Hate About Life, which might be a sequel. However, it is still only in early stages of development so be patient and keep an eye out for what is going on!

Have you seen this movie? Is this movie one of your favorites? I hope you enjoy these photos!
