Cannes 2013 – Red Carpet Photos from “Inside Llewyn Davis” Premiere and Photocall Events

Joel and Ethan Cohen’s Inside Llewyn Davis premiered on day five of the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival! Both brother wrote the screenplay, directed, and produced this project.

Here is an official synopsis for the film (via IMDbPro):

Follow a week in the life of a young folk singer as he navigates the Greenwich Village folk scene of 1961. Guitar in tow, huddled against the unforgiving New York winter, he is struggling to make it as a musician against seemingly insurmountable obstacles — some of them of his own making.

Cast members Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund, and Adam Driver were present for both a photocall and a premiere event. Other Hollywood names that were present for the premiere include Nicole Kidman, Steven Spielberg, Jane Fonda, Christoph Waltz, and Kirsten Dunst.

Inside Llewyn Davis is currently gaining a lot of buzz and it is already being considered one of the stronger films at Cannes this year. The 2013 Sundance Film Festival is in full swing and will be going on until January 27! Entertainment Weekly writer Anthony Breznican has shared a list of thirteen (13) films from the festival that he thinks we should keep an eye on during 2013. Here is the list of films with their official synopsis’ and cast list:

1. The Way, Way Back 

Director: Nat Faxon

Cast: Steve Carell, AnnaSophia Robb, Sam Rockwell, Toni Collette, Maya Rudolph, Rob Corddry, Amanda Peet, and Robert Capron.

Synopsis: “Over the course of his summer break, a teenager comes into his own thanks in part to the friendship he strikes up with one of the park’s managers.”

Exclusive New Images and Poster for “Hitchcock”

The Collider recently posted some exclusive new images and a brand new poster for the Sacha Gervasi’s drama, Hitchcock. This film is about Alfred Hitchcock’s journey as director and what he went through to make Psycho, which is considered to be one of his most classic films.

Plus, Hitchcock has an extremely talented cast behind it, including Academy Award Winner Anthony Hopkins, Academy Award Winner Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Danny Huston, Toni Collette, Jessica Biel, Michael Stuhlbarg, James D’Arcy, Michael Wincott, Richard Portnow, and Kurtwood Smith.

First Official Trailer for “Hitchcock”

The first official trailer and poster have been released for the Sacha Gervasi-directed drama, Hitchcock. This film is based on Alfred Hitchcock’s journey as a famous director and his journey making the classic horror film, Psycho.

Hitchcock has a very strong and talented cast including Academy Award Winner Anthony Hopkins, Academy Award Winner Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Danny Huston, Toni Collette, Jessica Biel, Michael Stuhlbarg, James D’Arcy, Michael Wincott, Richard Portnow, and Kurtwood Smith. In the film, audiences will see Hitchcock’s (Hopkins) relationships with his wife, Alma Reville (Mirren), and the leading ladies of his films (Johansson and Biel).
