Kristen Wiig’s emotional “SNL” send-off

Saturday Night Live is known for their witty and wacky skits, hosts, and regular cast members. A lot of comedians have called the SNL studio home as regulars on the show; some for many years at a time. The NBC network never announced that Bridesmaids Kristen Wiig would be leaving the show, on Saturday, May 19, 2012, Wiig said goodbye to her fellow cast mates and to the SNL studios after seven years of being on the show. Host Mick Jagger, cast mates, and former cast mates (Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch and Chris Kattan) all came on during the final skit, appropriately set at a graduation, of the season finale to give Kristen the emotional and heart-felt send off that she deserved.

Wiig is still going to be keeping busy with six titles under development including Imogene with Darren Criss and a remake of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty with Ben Stiller and Sean Penn.

There is also speculation and rumor that Andy Sandberg and Jason Sudeikis might be leaving the show, but there is still no confirmation on that yet.

Do you think SNL is going to suffer because of Kristen Wiig’s departure? Are you excited to see her branch out and do more movies?

“Glee” Season Finale “Goodbye” tomorrow!

Those of you who watch and follow the Fox hit TV show Glee are aware that tomorrow night is the season three finale and a lot of the cast is graduating from William McKinley High. This has led to speculation about whether those graduating cast members will be leaving the show or returning for the fourth season.

According to an article that I found and read on the Wrap, Ryan Murphy (the series creator) stated: “They’re all coming back. Anyone who is a regular is coming back.” This is good news for us Glee fans who have come to know and love characters like Rachel, Finn, Kurt, Santana, Mike, Mercedes, and Puck (who are all supposed to be graduating.)

Tomorrow’s finale is supposed to be an emotional episode so is everyone ready with the tissues!? I know I will be! Check out the links I have shared below for a poll on your favorite characters, the article from the Wrap, a promo, and some behind the scenes footage. 🙂
