The Doctor Who star has been cast in the reboot alongside Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke and Zero Dark Thirty star Jason Clarke. Paramount says that Smith will play “a new character with a strong connection to John Connor.”
Paramount and Skydance Productions announced Smith’s addition to the cast this morning via Twitter: “We don’t have a TARDIS, but we do have a Timelord: we’re pleased to welcome Matt Smith to the cast of #Terminator.”
The movie is to be released in July 2015 and is directed by Alan Taylor, who also directed Thor.
Since Smith’s departure from BBC drama Doctor Who – in which he is succeeded in the role of the Doctor by Peter Capaldi – he has been on stage in London performing American Psycho, and will be seen on the big screen in the Ryan Gosling directed Lost River, with a North American release date to be announced.

The official Game of Thrones Facebook recently shared a set of gorgeous new character posters for the upcoming fourth season of the show. There are eighteen (18) new posters and they all feature the phrase “Valar Morghulis” which translates to “all men must die” in High Valyrian (a language that author George R.R. Martin created for the series).
Composition of these posters is rather simple, but very effective in portraying the characters. Some of the major characters that are featured include, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), and Jon Snow (Kit Harington). Take a look at all of these stunning posters below:

Entertainment Weekly recently shared some interesting details on season four of the hit HBO show Game of Thrones. The studio has announced who will be directing specific episodes of the next season. Here is an official list of the directors and the episodes they will be covering:
Episode 1: David Benioff & D.B. Weiss
Episodes 2, 3, 8, 10: Alex Graves
Episodes 4, 5: Michelle MacLaren
Episodes 6, 7: Alik Sakharov
Episodes 9: Neil Marshall
Now most of these directors have worked on the show before and created some amazing episodes. For instance, Neil Marshall directed the pivotal Battle of the Blackwater episode for season two of the show. Another returning director, Alex Graves will be directing four episodes this season! This may excite fans because Graves was responsible for directing the intense episode when Daenerys unleashed her dragons on a slave city.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Clarke addresses her experiences working on the production, how she has to do 20 costume changes in one show, and taking on such an iconic role on stage. In the interview Clarke states: “It’s not the movie, it’s not Audrey Hepburn, but it is Capote’s words and Capote’s beautiful characters. I’ve just been trying to live out his words…the film sort of had to take a back seat. It’s very much an entirely different piece.” (Read the full interview here.)
