Right now there is no confirmation that Bumper’s Treblemakers will also be making a return to challenge the Barden Bellas. However, bringing back this fan-favorite character seems to suggest this might be the case.
Elizabeth Banks will direct, produce, and possibly star in the sequel with Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow all set to reprise their roles. Pitch Perfect 2 will sing and dance it’s way into theaters on May 15, 2015. Stay tuned for more news as production continues!
The Hollywood Reporter shared that actor Zac Efron will be starring and producing an adaptation of John Grisham’s The Associate.
Efron will be playing a Yale Law School grad who ends up being blackmailed by a group of criminals. These criminals force him to take a job at one of the world’s largest law firms so he can spy on powerful defence contractors.
The actor will also be producing under his production company, Ninja’s Runnin Wild, along with Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher, who will be representing Red Wagon Entertainment. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the next step for the producers is to find a screenwriter and then take it out to studios.
Efron has had a very busy year so far! He was in the comedy That Awkward Moment with Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan, which he also produced. Plus, his other comedic film, Neighbours, that was released on March 8.

With the adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars just months away from hitting theaters, Fox 2000 Pictures has likely seen that fans want more movies based on Green’s novels. Deadline is reporting that the production company has started development and will be adapting Green’s 2008 novel, Paper Towns.
Fox also seemed to like the team that worked on The Fault in Our Stars movie. It was announced yesterday that screenwriters Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber will once again be penning the script, and producers Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen will also be returning. There is currently no director signed on to the project.
John Green will be an executive producer on this project along with Neustadter and Weber. In some other interesting news, actor Nat Wolff, who portrays Isaac in Fault, has been cast as Quentin.
Paper Towns follows Quentin, a young man who shares a strange connection with his neighbour Margo. As kids, they found a man who committed suicide in a local park. Margo ends up distancing herself from Quentin. until one night when she drags him out on a crazy adventure of revenge. The next morning she has vanished and Quentin takes it upon himself to search for her.

Hugh Jackman does not usually play the villain, but it looks like he will be journeying into new acting territory in the Joe Wright-directed Pan. The actor will be taking on the role of Blackbeard in the Warner Brothers Peter Pan prequel.
Jason Fuchs will be penning the script for this adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s classic story. A new part of the narrative will focus on the relationship between Peter Pan and Captain Hook working together before Hook ultimately turns evil.
A prequel to JM Barrie’s Peter Pan. When an orphan is taken to the magical world of Neverland, he becomes a hero to the natives and leads a revolt against the evil pirates.
According to Variety, Warner Brothers will be holding an open casting call for the roles of Peter Pan and Tiger Lily. For the time being, no other roles have officially been cast.

Lucasfilm and Disney have finally settled on a release date for the first film in the new Star Wars trilogy. All of the previous Star Wars films have been released in May, but fans probably will be surprised to hear that is not the case for this next Star Wars adventure.
The companies have decided to release Star Wars: Episode VII on December 18, 2015. Recently, director J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan announced that Michael Arndt will no longer be writing the screenplay. Instead, Abrams and Kasdan have decided that they will be co-writing the screenplay.
Disney studio chief, Alan Horn, addressed rumors that Abrams was worried about the shooting schedule by stating: “We’re very excited to share the official 2015 release date for Star Wars: Episode VII, where it will not only anchor the popular holiday filmgoing season but also ensure our extraordinary filmmaking team has the time needed to deliver a sensational picture,”
According to Entertainment Weekly, major sets and costumes are already being designed and the film is set to start shooting at London’s Pinewood Studios in the spring. What do you think of this news? There have been rumors circulating for months about Tom Hardy potentially be playing Elton John in a biopic entitled Rocketman. Yesterday, it was announced that the talented actor had officially signed on to this biopic and he was indeed cast as Sir Elton John.
With this news , some production details also came to light. Rocketman will be released in the U.S. by Focus Pictures and it will tell Elton John’s amazing story, starting with his childhood and then his rise to fame. The singer is going to record some of his biggest hits to match different emotional moments in the film.
Michael Gracey will be directing the film and Academy Award nominee Lee Hall will be writing an original screenplay. Entertainment Weekly shared the first exclusive photo from the set of Disney’s live-action Cinderella film. Principal photography began on the highly awaited, Kenneth Branagh-directed film yesterday in London, England. This first photo feature Lily James as the iconic and classically beautiful princess.
According to an article on Entertainment Weekly, James is not being portrayed as your typical Cinderella and there will be some subtle changes to the story. In the classic story of Cinderella, she and the Prince (Richard Madden) first meet at the ball. In Branagh’s version, Cinderella meets the Prince before the ball, but he lies and tells her that he’s a palace employee.
In a statement yesterday, Branagh was explaining how happy he is with his cast by saying: “With Lily James we have found our perfect Cinderella. She combines knockout beauty with intelligence, wit, fun and physical grace. Her Prince is being played by Richard Madden, a young actor with incredible power and charisma. He is funny, smart and sexy and a great match for Cinderella.”
