Television Exclusive – New Image and Character Portraits for AMC’s “Low Winter Sun”

The AMC Network has a very big summer coming up with the series finale of the hit show Breaking Bad and the series premiere of Low Winter Sun approaching.

Low Winter Sun is a new cop drama series that stars Mark Strong, Lennie James, David Costabile, Athena Karkanis, James Ransone, Sprague Grayden, Billy Lush, and Ruben Santiago-Hudson. The story follows two police detectives working in Detroit that are involved in the murder of a fellow cop. From there, things begin to unravel and detective Frank Agnew (Strong) must battle with his inner morals.

Television Exclusive – AMC Sets Premiere Date for Final Season of “Breaking Bad”

AMC has recently announced the premiere date for the final eight episodes of Breaking Bad. The first of the final eight episodes will premiere Sunday, August 11, 2013.  Fans may note this the premiere date has been changed from the original announcement made almost a year ago.

The premiere of Breaking Bad‘s final season will lead into the debut a new drama called Low Winter Sun, which stars actors Mark Strong and Lennie James as police detectives working in Detroit that are involved in the murder of a fellow cop. Watch an exclusive trailer for the show here.

Breaking Bad will also be getting a half-hour talk show called Talking Bad that recaps what happened in the night’s episode. There is a similar show on the air now called Talking Dead, which recaps the episodes of The Walking Dead.

TrulyLuminary Exclusive – Set Sighting for “The Killing”

Today was very exciting as I discovered there were trailers, a crew park, and catering area set up at a local park. Everything was set up for the cast and crew of AMC’s The Killing as they are filming part of season three. I actually had the opportunity to get some photos of the trailers and everything that was set up.

For those of you who are not familiar with The Killing, the show follows the police investigation of the murder of a young girl, tying together three interlocking stories as investigators chase a variety of leads. Actors that have starred on the show include Mireille Enos, Joel Kinnaman, Liam James, Billy Campbell, Michelle Forbes, Brent Sexton, Katie Findlay, Evan Bird, and Seth Issac Johnson.

“Breaking Bad” – Season Five premiere dates announced

The premiere dates for the fifth and final season of AMC’s Breaking Bad have been announced. The network has decided to split the final season, airing eight episodes this year, and eight next year. Breaking Bad is to return July 15, 2012 at 10pm. Once the eight episodes air this summer, fans are going to have to wait until summer of 2013 to watch the final eight episodes of the critically acclaimed, Emmy-winning drama.

Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte, and Bob Odenkirk. It is a show about a chemistry teacher Walter White (Cranston) whom is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given only two years to live and he decides he has nothing to lose. He lives with his wife (Gunn) and teenage son (Mitte), who has cerebral palsy, in New Mexico. He wants to make certain that his family will have a secure future; White embarks on a career of drugs and crime. He proves to be capable in this new world as he begins manufacturing and selling methamphetamine with one of his former students (Paul). The series looks at the impacts of a fatal diagnosis on a regular hard working man and how that changes him and affects his principles.
