NBC Cancels “Community” After Five Seasons

NBC has cancelled Community after five seasons.

The show was apparently struggling to bring in ratings, and viewership was declining with each season. TIME magazine says, “The most recent 13-episode season brought in only 3.8 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic, according to Entertainment Weekly.”

The show starred Joel McHale, Alison Brie, and Donald Glover, who played older students at a community college in Colorado.

Although NBC hasn’t picked it back up, Community has be sold in syndication to Comedy Central and Hulu owns the digital rights. Perhaps we haven’t seen the end of Community after all.
