Collider recently shared two new images from Empire Magazine that reveal our first look at the Warcraft movie adaptation! Warcraft is based on the widely popular video game, World of Warcraft, and the film is likely going to be one of the first successful video game-to-movie adaptation.
The film is currently shooting in Vancouver and my dad is actually a part of the crew building all of the major set pieces and props that are being used!
Warcraft stars Paula Patton, Travis Fimmel, Dominic Cooper, Ben Foster, Toby Kebbell, Rob Kazinsky, Daniel Wu, and Clancy Brown and is set to hit theaters on March 11, 2016.
No plot information has been released for the film and everything is being kept very secretive, even on the set itself. However, there is speculation that it will be following “the story of Anduin Lothar versus Durotan, Human and Orc heroes from the original real-time strategy games.”
The first of the new images features director Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) sitting in front of screens watching what is being filmed. On this screens, you can see a sneak peek of the set and some of the costumes.
The second image gives us a look at the clapboard and current logo being used for the film. Plus, there is a name tag on there to honor the memory of camera assistant Sarah Jones how was killed during a tragic on-set accident.
