Movie Exclusive – New Character Posters for “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones”

Sony Pictures is going to be picking up advertising and promotional activity as the summer release of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones gets closer.  The studio has recently released two new character posters via the Mortal Instruments Facebook page.

These new posters feature actors Robert Sheehan as his character Simon Lewis and Jonathan Rhys Meyers as his character Valentine Morgenstern. If you missed them, take a look at the first two exclusive character posters here. Plus, for those of you unfamiliar with the story here is an official synopsis:

Set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray (Lily Collins), discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother (Lena Headey), Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures. Based on the worldwide best-selling book series.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones also stars Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers,  Godfrey Gao, Lena Headey, Kevin Durand, CCH Pounder, and Jemima West and is in theaters August 23, 2013.
