Casting Scoop – Remaining Cast Members for “Catching Fire” announced

Lionsgate recently announced who will be playing all of the remaining characters in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. However, they did not make any official press release. Instead, they simply announced the final casting decisions on the Catching Fire Casting Facebook page.

Here are is the final list of new cast members that will be joining Catching Fire:

  • James Logan as District 5 Male
  • Ivette Li-Sanchez as District 5 Female
  • Justin Hix as District 6 Male
  • Megan Hayes as District 6 Female
  • Bobby Jordan as Blight
  • John Casino as Woof
  • Elena Sanchez as Cecelia
  • Daniel Bernhardt as District 9 Male
  • Marian Green as District 9 Female
  • Jackson Spidell District 10 Male
  • Tiffany Waxler as District 10 Female

New Release date and an Extended First Look at “Les Misérables”

Universal has recently announced that the release date of the highly anticipated musical adaptation of Les Misérables from December 14 to December 25. The competition is going to be tight as Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained and Anne Fletcher’s comedy, starring Seth Rogen and Barbara Streisand, The Guilt Trip are also going to be released that day.

However, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is going to be released on December 14 and would have also provided some stiff competition for Tom Hooper’s Les Misérables. Be sure to go to this YouTube link and watch an extended first look at the film:

“The Vampire Diaries” – Season Four Cast Portraits

The CW recently released portraits of The Vampire Diaries cast and  they feature actors Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Candice Accola, Michael Trevino, Zach Roerig, Kat Graham, Steven R. McQueen, Claire Holt, Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, and Torrey DeVitto.

“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” – Exclusive New Trailer

Today Warner Brothers Studios released the second trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. This is such an amazing trailer it it gives fans a more in-depth look at the Dwarves, some trolls, and even goblins! Definitely a trailer you do not want to miss!

“Smash” – Jesse L. Martin joins the Season Two cast

According to an article on Deadline, actor Jesse L. Martin has landed a reoccurring role on NBC’s hit musical television drama Smash. He will be playing a character named Scott Welker whom is an Artistic Director of a theater company and he has history with a couple of the other characters on the show. Other guest stars that will be joining Smash this season include Jennifer Hudson, Sean Hayes, and Jeremy Jordan.

Martin’s previous film and television credits include Law and Order, Rent (2005), and he was most recently in Joyful Noise. Plus, he is heavily involved in Broadway shows and he great credentials as he was also an original cast member the musical Rent.

“Lincoln” – First Official Trailer

The first official trailer for Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln was recently released. There is a stellar cast behind this film that includes actors Daniel Day-Lewis, Tommy Lee Jones, Sally Field, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Lee Pace, Jeremy Strong, Michael Stuhlbarg,  Jackie Earle Haley, Tim Blake Nelson, David Oyelowo, and many more. This is an epic motion picture event  about President Abraham Lincoln and his journey as the Civil War nears its end he begins to clash with members of his cabinet over the issue of abolishing slavery. Lincoln is going to be hitting theaters November 162012.

“The Vampire Diaries” – New photos from the Season Four Premiere

The CW has released some exclusive new photos that will give fans of The Vampire Diaries their first look at the October 11 season four premiere, entitled “Growing Pains.” These stills feature actors Nina Dobrev (Elena), Paul Wesley (Stefan), Candice Accola (Caroline), Michael Trevino (Tyler), Kat Graham (Bonnie), Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy), and Claire Holt (Rebekah).

Although it is a long wait until the season four premiere, and there are no new stills of Ian Somerhalder (Damon) at the moment, these pictures hopefully are enough to hold you over until then! Take a look at the photos and let me know what you think!
