Lionsgate recently announced that the title for the next Hunger Games film, Catching Fire, will be slightly modified to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. This change has been made to ensure that people know that it is indeed part of the Hunger Games franchise. I think that this change is logical as it will help with marketing and advertising when the time comes.
It is a very simple change and the Hunger Games is not the only franchise to use this strategy. For example, the Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Twilight Saga, and the Lord of the Rings franchises all used this strategy with titling the books and films.
What is your opinion on the title change? Are you looking forward to getting a first look at Catching Fire?
